It streamlined clinical workflows, scheduling, and billing to improve efficiency and revenue flow, while offering strong clinical support. As a leading provider of ambulatory software, eMDs supported diagnosis and clear documentation of notes, vitals, allergies, and medications.

Acquisition and integration

After e-MDs acquired McKesson's ambulatory software assets in 2016 (including Practice Choice), the product was integrated into the e-MDs EHR. When CompuGroup Medical acquired e-MDs, the product was further integrated into what is now CGM Aprima.

Smart Note technology powered eMDs Practice Choice, allowing doctors to document everything on one screen by pulling data from the patient's chart. The Advanced solution provided a virtual back-office team to manage practice financials.

The modular software was budget-friendly and expandable with clinic growth. Being web-based, it ensured constant updates, backups to reduce data loss, and allowed physicians to access and update records remotely in real time.
