Zanda (formerly Power Diary)

Power Diary has been rebranded as Zanda. Zanda is a cloud-based clinic management system (practice management platform) for allied health clinics. It supports features such as appointment scheduling, client records, billing, note-taking, and secure telehealth.

The platform is used by a wide range of practitioners – from solo therapists to multi-location clinics – including psychologists, speech therapists, physical therapists, and more.

Rebrand and updates

In late 2024, the company announced Power Diary had officially rebranded as Zanda. This change reflects the product’s evolution from a basic scheduler into a complete EHR & practice management solution

Data security and compliance

Zanda emphasizes data security and compliance. The platform is ISO 27001 certified and meets HIPAA and GDPR standards for protecting patient information. All data is encrypted, and user access can be controlled by role. 

Key features:

• Appointment scheduling & reminders: A unified calendar with one-click booking, recurring session patterns, color-coded views, and online client booking. Automated SMS and email reminders help reduce no-shows.
• Client records & clinical notes: Secure patient profiles store history, intake forms, and treatment notes. Practitioners can use hundreds of pre-built or custom note templates with text fields, choice lists, and e-signatures. An in-platform Practice Operations Manual is also included, letting clinics maintain policies and procedures within Zanda.
• Billing, invoicing & payments: Integrated invoicing lets you generate bills and track payments in the same system. Zanda supports credit-card processing and even handles Medicare billing for Australian practices. It provides automated receipt generation and financial reports to streamline clinic accounting.
• CPT codes: For clinics billing speech or audiology services, a common question is “What is CPT code 92523?” This code refers to “evaluation of speech sound production with evaluation of language comprehension and expression.” In practice, it’s used for comprehensive speech-language assessments. Zanda’s billing module can record CPT/HCPCS codes like 92523 on invoices and claims.
• Telehealth integration: Built-in video conferencing (via Zoom) allows secure online sessions. Clients can join from any device, and sessions can be logged in the patient’s record.
• AI-powered assistant (BizzyAI): An optional AI module transcribes therapy sessions and drafts clinical notes in your style, reducing paperwork. More AI tools (for letters, reports, etc.) are being added.
• Reporting & analytics: Dashboards and report generators give insights on appointments, billing, and clinical outcomes. Customizable charts and data exports help track practice performance.
• Integrations: Zanda connects to many third-party services (Stripe, Xero, Mailchimp, Physitrack, Google/Outlook Calendars, etc.) to create a connected workflow.

Zanda serves practices of all sizes and specialties. Its flexibility makes it a good practice management software for psychologists as well as speech therapists, counselors, chiropractors, and more.
